Resolution

Just telling my dad that I'm going to SFU in January makes him so happy. I'm glad he feels happy and all since I'm going back to school, but really, it's the "university" title that he's more excited about. I don't think I'd recieve the same reaction if I told him I was going to a college. Sigh, university doesn't make your life successful just like that. However, I'll work hard to become successful so that I can proudly call myself my father's daughter.

This, I promise you dad.

"I feel so comfortable with you, yet I get butterflies when you touch or smile at me. I can talk to you so easily about anything, yet I still choke and get nervous when our eyes meet. My heart feels so warm being with you. It feels dangerous, yet safe with you. Sometimes I can't stop staring. My heart beats when you're near, just seeing you makes me happy. I burst into laughter and smiles talking to you.

So how do I feel about you?"
..

The thing is, none of them were exaggerations. I miss these feelings. But I can't seem to imagine myself ever feeling the same way again.
This is my confession.

Day 8 – Three turn ons

1. Mysterious guys. Hard to get, but not too hard. It gets me curious and anxious, and makes me interested in getting to know a guy better. Maybe it’s cause I want to be the one they can talk to when no one else can?

2. Nice smile & eyes. Small eyes are a no no. Bonus feature = nice back and shoulders ! Hey, they’re turn ons. :)

3. Athletic. One of my biggest turn ons. If you’re good at sports or physical activities, I’ll be very impressed. Dance is good too. I love a guy who works hard to achieve something they’re really passionate about, it’s attractive.

This bothers me.

Just because someone isn't better than you at something, it doesn't mean they suck.

I guess it's the way we look at things. Some people judge skills based on experience. Some just compare them with others or themselves without looking at the time and practice they had.

Day 7 – Four turn offs

1. Smoking/drugs/excessive drinking. This is a definite. I don't understand how people would actually do these kinds of things and call it fun. I hate the smell of alcohol and smoke, and I would definitely hate the times where you don't remember what you said to me or did because you were drunk. It's not an excuse.

2. Inconsideration for others. Look around before you say something offensive. I don't care if you don't know them, it doesn't make it okay for you to make fun of them especially when they can hear it. & at times when someone feels upset because they did something stupid, I despise it when people repeat EVERYTHING they were just told, and then laughs "OMG HAHAHA HOW DID YOU DO THAT, YOU'RE SO STUPID." ... We get the point. Way to make someone feel better when they're upset and worried.

3. Conceited/arrogant guys. If a man takes WAY longer than I do to get ready or he's too into himself and his looks, it's a turn off. A guy shouldn't need to constantly be looking for a reflection so he can fix his hair nor tell others about how many girls were checking them out this morning. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Effeminate men are turn offs too; please don't call yourself pretty.

4. Weakness of character. Someone who lacks principles, or won't defend his principles. Basically, pushovers.

*edit: Going over the limit, but I just thought about tattoos and piercings. Body piercings anywhere other than the ear, or having tattoos all over your arm and body are turn offs. A small one is okay.
